BUET offers Consultancy and Testing Services to OxyJet Limited

On October 17, 2022, the Department of Biomedical Engineering at Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET) announced that it will provide consultancy and testing services to OxyJet Limited, a Dhaka-based company. The services include comparing and evaluating OxyJet’s submitted standard operating procedure (SOP) in accordance with the guidelines approved by the Directorate General of Drug Administration (DGDA) and independently testing five devices. In a letter addressed to Kaisar Ahmed Alman, Managing Director of OxyJet Limited, the Head of the Department, Prof. Dr. Mahammad Tarik Arafat, specified that the cost for the services will be Tk. 3,00,000, which includes VAT, ALT, and BUET overhead. The reports will be delivered within 15 working days after the work order is issued. The consultancy and testing services will also include evaluating the SOP to manufacture 200 devices in BUET’s laboratory facility. The department’s offer is expected to help OxyJet Limited ensure the quality and safety of its medical devices, as well as comply with the DGDA’s guidelines. This announcement underscores BUET’s commitment to supporting local businesses in the biomedical sector and contributing to the advancement of medical technology in Bangladesh.
